MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented VTC Technician to join our Air Force team at Eglin AFB
The VTC Technician's primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Tier I & II customer support
Scheduling conferences using Cisco’s TelePresence Management Suite (TMS)
Responding to system outages and taking appropriate action(s) to alt-route and/or use available failover/back-up capabilities to meet VTC client needs
Conducting site surveys both remotely and on-site to determine specific requirements for new VTC system installations and/or upgrades
Conducting on-site VTC installations to include assisting with end network device configurations, equipment installations, and equipment configuration and check-out
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
2+ years of experience with hands-on/practical experience in the installation, configuration and operation of classified and unclassified VTC systems
Active / valid DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification
Working/practical knowledge and understanding of IP networks and how they are implemented as part of VTC systems
Experience providing Tier I and II customer support of VTC systems; e xperience with configuring and managing Cisco switches; experience with General Dynamics Type 1 encryption devices (e.g. TACLANE).
Familiarity with audio / video standards (e.g. H.323 / SIP protocols).
Hands-on experience conducting site surveys remotely and on-site to determine specific requirements for new VTC system installations and/or upgrades
Practical experience conducting on-site VTC system installations to include end network device configuration, equipment installation / configuration, and system check-out.
Security Clearance:
Must have a current/active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
