What Drives Success

As a VRF Sales Manager, you will drive the growth of Lennox Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solutions by building consultative relationships with consulting engineers, manufacturer's representatives, and residential and commercial contractors. In this highly technical, customer-facing role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers design, specify, and implement VRF systems while expanding Lennox's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, manufacturer's representatives, and residential and commercial contractors to secure VRF basis-of-design specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and application support to assist customers in selecting the right VRF systems and solutions.
  • Educate consulting engineers, contractors, and customers on Lennox's current and future VRF product offerings through product presentations, lunch-and-learns, and technical training.
  • Partner with Territory Managers and National Account Managers to identify opportunities and deliver VRF solutions for both new and existing Lennox customers.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on VRF applications, system design, and specialty product solutions.
  • Provide guidance on Federal, State, and Local building codes, as well as ASHRAE standards and design guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify new business opportunities and proactively address changing market conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with engineering firms, contractors, OEM customers, and internal sales teams to drive specification growth and increase market share.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support business development initiatives, customer engagement, and successful project execution.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, technical sales, or commercial HVAC, with significant industry experience required.
  • VRF HVAC sales or application experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative relationships with consulting engineers and the mechanical engineering community to influence system specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations and technical training.
  • Strong sales mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, VRF technology, and industry applications.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, actively listen, influence decision-makers, negotiate effectively, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of consultative selling, product promotion, marketing strategies, sales techniques, and customer engagement.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to assess needs, deliver solutions, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
