About the Role
At Origin, we're accelerating Australia's energy transition by connecting customers with smarter energy solutions. As our Channel Manager – Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Partnerships, you'll be responsible for growing our VPP business through high-performing third-party sales channels and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Third Party Sales, you'll build and optimise partner relationships, drive customer acquisition, deliver strong commercial outcomes, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while supporting the growth of Origin's distributed energy portfolio.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and execute channel strategies to grow Origin's VPP customer base.
  • Manage the performance of third-party sales partners against sales, revenue, quality and customer experience targets.
  • Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with channel partners and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver successful go-to-market campaigns and optimise channel performance through data-driven insights.
  • Manage channel incentives, commissions and reporting to ensure accuracy and transparency.Identify opportunities to improve channel efficiency, customer acquisition and cost per sale.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal and Sales Assurance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Support partner capability through onboarding, coaching and ongoing training.Identify new partnership opportunities that support Origin's VPP growth strategy.

About You
You'll be a commercially minded relationship manager with experience delivering results through indirect sales channels.
You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in channel management, partnerships or sales within the energy, utilities or technology sectors.
  • Experience managing external partners and driving commercial performance.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Experience developing channel plans and managing complex sales programs.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and project management capability.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within customer sales environments.
  • Experience in renewable energy, distributed energy resources or Virtual Power Plant programs will be highly regarded.
