This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VPM Functional Consultant, Prof Services based in Canada.

This is a senior functional consulting opportunity focused on investment accounting, valuation, and performance management solutions. You will lead client engagements across the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through delivery and post-go-live support. The role combines functional solution design, configuration, client advisory, and delivery oversight. You will work closely with technical teams to ensure data mapping, integrations, and end-to-end solutions are aligned. The position also offers exposure to pre-sales, solution estimation, and broader practice development initiatives. Success requires strong investment domain expertise, client-facing skills, and the ability to operate effectively across complex implementation environments. The role is remote and requires some overlap with US time zones.

• Lead end-to-end client engagements for VPM implementations, from discovery and functional analysis through delivery and post-go-live activities.
• Conduct client workshops, gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into effective functional solutions aligned with platform capabilities and implementation standards.
• Own functional solution decisions and produce or review high-quality deliverables, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, and configuration designs.
• Lead complex functional configuration covering valuation models, performance rules, static data, workflows, dashboards, and reporting.
• Partner with technical consultants to coordinate data mapping, integrations, and overall solution integrity.
• Provide functional leadership throughout system integration testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, production cutover, validation, and hypercare.
• Support issue triage and resolution by providing functional guidance and coordinating with relevant technical and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to pre-sales activities, including functional solutioning, effort estimation, proposal development, and statements of work.
• Collaborate with product, development, and practice leadership to identify product gaps, enhancement opportunities, and improvements to implementation approaches.

Requirements:

• 10–12 years of experience in functional consulting, with substantial experience delivering investment accounting or related financial technology solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with VPM and/or comparable investment accounting platforms, including implementation and configuration.
• Deep functional knowledge of investment valuation and performance measurement concepts.
• Experience with General Ledger, trial balance, mutual fund and hedge fund processing, fund onboarding, and fund conversions.
• Demonstrated experience leading requirements discovery, solution design, functional configuration, testing, and implementation activities.
• Strong understanding of data mapping, integrations, workflows, reporting, and end-to-end solution delivery.
• Experience working directly with clients and facilitating discussions across business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining a high standard of delivery quality.
• Comfortable collaborating with distributed teams and working with sufficient overlap with US time zones.
• Experience contributing to pre-sales, effort estimation, and statements of work is highly desirable.
