A. Market Risk Oversight & Monitoring

  • Ensure daily market risk limit monitoring and daily Profit & Loss (P&L) reporting are within market risk limits. Ensure P&L figures are accurately reconciled between the Treasury system and the General Ledger (GL) system.

  • Review risk exposures, trends, and limit utilizations; escalate breaches in a timely manner.

  • Provide expert judgment, P&L commentary, attribution analysis, and analytical interpretation of market movements and key risk drivers.

B. Regulatory & Internal Reporting

  • Ensure regulatory deliverables including market risk capital charge, stress testing inputs, ICAAP risk components, and monthly/quarterly reporting.

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly balance sheet and P&L reporting, including reconciliation between Front Office systems and GL adjustments.

  • Prepare monthly valuation reserves and management reporting.

  • Ensure reports are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Support interactions with regulators, internal/external auditors.

C. Strategic Projects & Enhancements

  • Support system enhancement projects, analytics upgrades, and risk model improvements.

  • Drive group-led initiatives (including MYOR transition, capital computation changes, FRTB‑related workstreams, and automation programmes).

  • Coordinate with Treasury, Finance, Product Control, IT, Group Risk, and other stakeholders.

  • Manage project timelines, documentation, UAT, and implementation readiness.

D. Automation & Process Optimisation

  • Champion automation efforts to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual processes.

  • Introduce data quality improvements, streamline workflows, and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

  • Implement dashboards, analytical tools, and process re‑engineering to uplift team productivity.

E. Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical leadership to analysts and senior analysts.

  • Strengthen succession planning, capability building, and knowledge transfer within the team.

  • Represent Market Risk & Product Control in key committees, working groups, and management discussions.

Job Requirements

  • Degree with major in Risk Management, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance/ Economics, Actuarial, Statistics, Engineering or related discipline.

  • Ideally someone with 6 - 12 years of experience within product control, market risk or trading risk management. Position ranking depends on experience.

  • Proficiency in VBA and Python programming is a must, with strong skills in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Knowledge of treasury product pricing, market risk methodology and trading risk attribution.

  • Experience with front office treasury system application and risk sensitivity testing.

  • Experience with market risk system application and reporting tools development.

  • Strong quantitative skills, IT savvy with good technical/ analytic mindset, possession of good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and a dynamic team player. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure with commitment to deliver.
