This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of one of Civil Aerospace’s most profitable widebody engine programmes. This is a rare opportunity to shape the performance of a flagship widebody programme with significant visibility across Civil Aerospace and a direct influence on Rolls-Royce’s long-term value creation.

The Vice President – Value Delivery will be accountable for shaping and delivering the financial performance of the Trent XWB value stream. The role will ensure programme margin optimisation, lifecycle value capture and the execution of the value stream business model, ensuring that strategic intent is translated into measurable financial outcomes.

It will require clear commercial judgement, disciplined prioritisation and the ability to influence decisions across the programme that improve margin, resilience and cash delivery.

Working in close partnership with Cost, Fleet Management, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Operations and Customer teams, the role will provide senior leadership across the value stream, aligning operational execution with commercial strategy, fleet health and long-term value creation.

  • Deliver financial commitments and performance targets across the full Trent XWB engine lifecycle.
  • Lead implementation of the five-year value stream strategy focused on long-term profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Shape investment, operational and commercial trade-offs so decisions support long-term programme value.

Lifecycle Value Delivery

  • Drive lifecycle value capture across the installed fleet, balancing near-term delivery with long-term programme economics.
  • Translate engineering, operational and fleet performance into clear financial outcomes.
  • Optimise value across original equipment, aftermarket services and fleet support activities.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to enhance revenue, improve cost-to-serve, strengthen cash generation and improve lifecycle profitability.

Commercial and Customer Engagement

  • Partner with customer and account management teams to shape strategic airline relationships and strengthen commercial outcomes.
  • Ensure commercial decisions are grounded in robust lifecycle economics and support long-term value creation.
  • Influence contract reviews and commercial negotiations that impact programme margin, risk and cash performance.

Preferred requirements:

  • Strong track record of delivering measurable business impact, margin improvement and cash performance.
  • Experience operating within commercial aviation or highly engineered product industries.
  • Strong understanding of engine lifecycle economics, fleet performance and aftermarket value drivers.
  • Sound knowledge of aerospace market dynamics, commercial aviation economics or comparable high-value industrial sectors.
