Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Resilience (ICR)

We design, build, and secure the technology foundations that power GIC’s global investment operations. We aim to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure that empowers our people and businesses to perform securely, efficiently, and effectively.

You will be a part of an independent function to protect the firm’s information technology and digital assets, including business data, from external threats, manage operational risks, and to facilitate the firm’s digitalization journey in a secure manner.

What impact can you make in this role?

The VP Threat Intelligence is responsible for leading the analysis of cyberthreat and geopolitical intelligence issues of interest to GIC leaders and cybersecurity stakeholders and to disseminate findings in written and oral form. The analyst will work closely with the CSR teams to develop and implement strategies to mitigate these threats and protect the organization's systems and information.

What will you do as a VP, Threat Intelligence?

The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of cyberthreat principles, understand how geopolitical events shape the cyberthreat landscape, strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills, the capability to lead projects independently, and strong proficiency in briefing senior leaders and external partners.

  • Conduct research on existing and emerging cyberthreat issues that may impact GIC, including clients, suppliers, the Financial Sector and the government linked organizations.
  • Analyze cyber threat information to develop evidence-backed analytic assessments, supported by a defined level of confidence.
  • Contextualize geopolitical, technical, regulatory, and legislative issues that could impact the cyber threat landscape across various countries or regions.
  • Draw high-quality, objective conclusions to assess the impact to GIC.
  • Perform trend analysis of cyber threat activity over time, identifying patterns, changes in threat vectors, and potential impacts on GIC, her clients, and suppliers.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in assigned areas of responsibility, including understanding threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), motivations, and attribution, while identifying patterns and linkages between multiple actors.
  • Evaluate underlying sources and methods to assess the accuracy and reliability of information used in assessments and reporting.
  • Produce clear, well-sourced, and grammatically correct intelligence products that adhere to established style guides and templates, effectively articulating and supporting all analytic conclusions.
  • Conduct briefings for internal partners, senior management, and clients, presenting technical matters in an accessible manner for non-technical audiences when necessary.
  • Support various stakeholders in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate threats and protect the organization’s systems and information.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Analytic experience in covering geopolitical and cyber activity, with an emphasis on targeting Financial Institutions and government linked organizations.
  • Good technical comprehension with ability to apply technical knowledge to strategic reporting and appropriately customize technical details to intended audiences
  • Solid understanding on key drivers to cyberthreat activity, such as the role geopolitics, regulatory environments, and emerging technology play on the cyberthreat landscape
  • Demonstrated use of analytic tools or cyber intelligence principles, such as Structured Analytic Techniques, OSINT tools, indicator pivoting, or cyberthreat frameworks, such as Mitre ATT&CK or Cyber Kill Chain
  • Strong briefing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a plus if education includes competency in an analytic or technical discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience working in an intelligence analysis job function; geopolitical and cyberthreat subject matter expertise preferred.
  • Advanced intelligence analysis experience and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of senior management.
  • Familiarity with open-source intelligence research and methodologies
  • Relevant certifications, such as the GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) or the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation

Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results.

Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $180,000. Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
