Job Title: VP Supply Chain & Quality – Future Programs

Working Pattern: Fulltime

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

The pace of change for technology and customer expectations in the US Department of War have never been higher and Rolls-Royce is relying on LibertyWorks to develop innovative solutions. The Vice-President of Supply Chain and Quality, Future Programs has direct accountability for the stand-up and execution of supply chain solutions while leading a team of procurement project managers and manufacturing engineers. This position places a premium on leadership, lateral thinking, independent thinking, ability to contribute, and action. The primary focus for this team is delivering multiple contracts and programs consisting of complex hardware, new manufacturing methods, testing, BOEs, fast-paced negotiations, all with the right quality.

This key leadership role will require extensive procurement and quality experience with a track record of driving; on-time delivery to support major milestones, company-wide innovation, timely transition of key components to TRL/MRL 8, customer integration, collaboration across functional groups, organizational excellence that leads to a competitive position, and strategic supplier development in previously unknown commodities.

This is a very proactive role that includes delivery of technical innovation. To the maximum extent possible, this role will find and exploit the technology innovation that can come from the supply base. This includes the identification of new technologies and matching it with needs in LibertyWorks.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

  • Deliver supply chain milestones in support of the LibertyWorks® program schedules by ensuring the supply chain team maintains a focus on beating budget targets including cost and delivery
  • Promote collaboration across the LibertyWorks® team and Supply Chain and Quality functions to meet program goals
  • Maintain and improve quality standards to the highest levels of Aerospace and adjacent markets.
  • Provide supply chain and quality management governance including employee engagement, continuous improvement, risk management and reporting

Basic Requirements:

  • Security clearance will be required.
  • Associate degree with 10+ years of Engineering, Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of Engineering, Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations experience, OR
  • Master’s degree with 6+ years of Engineering, Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations experience, OR
  • PhD degree with 3+ years of Engineering, Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations experience, OR
  • 12+ years of Engineering, Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Manufacturing Operations experience in lieu of a degree
  • To be considered for this opportunity, candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a collateral secret security clearance including special background investigation (SBI), which requires USA Citizenship

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior leadership experience in significant leadership roles, demonstrating breadth of experience and implementing change at pace and a demonstrable track record of leading cross functional teams successfully
  • Previous experience in a highly technical environment
  • Supply Chain process and organizational experience; including negotiations, commodity strategy, FAR15 compliance, and process improvement
  • Thorough knowledge of quality systems, audit preparation, root cause and corrective action, SABRe, and RRMS
  • Demonstrated leadership of technical teams working advanced aerospace technology – leading, thinking, and innovating
  • Working knowledge of classified program processes
  • Excellent business acumen both commercial and financial, with ability to analyze data, develop insights and strategies
