THE ROLE: VP, Strategy
The VP, Strategy will work very closely with the EVP, Head of Corporate Development & Strategy to manage a diverse array of projects conceived to promote growth and solve fundamental challenges across all A+E business units. (Including Distribution, Ad Sales/Media Solutions, Global Content Sales, Digital, Programming, A+E Studios, A+E Factual Studio, and A+E Music) This role is highly collaborative and relies on an innate respect and sense of diplomacy for colleagues across the Company.
This role also includes leadership of A+E Labs, which will serve as an “incubator” for the development of business plans that do not necessarily fit neatly into A+E’s current scope of operation. A+E Labs is a key part of the broader InnovA+E initiative that represents the Company’s active embrace of new (and sometimes disruptive) business models. As varying ideas are vetted, these activities may be embedded into existing A+E operations or resourced in newly created divisions.
MORE OF WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Business planning and analysis in collaboration with operating divisions
Supervising A+E Labs and supporting the innovation agenda in partnership with others
Collecting operating updates and drafting Board correspondence
Providing mentorship and quality control to the CDS team; including daily guidance of others, leading by practical example, and providing oversight and quality control with internal/external analyses, presentations, and other communications
An active embrace of working hands-on, with a sense of humility
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
At least 10+ years’ experience in Management Consulting or Strategic Planning in Media
At least 5 years in managing diverse project teams
Exceptional skill in quantitative analysis (must be able to model in Excel)
Exceptional written and oral communication, to C or Board level recipients

Annual Pay Range: $213,675 - $250,000Annual Incentive Target: 25.00%
