We'll be candid: our sales function has been powered by exceptional individual performers, not by architecture. The pipeline exists because families genuinely need what we offer, and our team is passionate about helping them find the right fit. The foundation is built. What we need now is the architecture to scale it - the forecasting discipline, the enablement systems, the revenue operations layer that turns a high-performing team into a high-performing machine.
We're looking for a VP of Sales who is equal parts systems architect, consultative sales leader, and team builder. The person who designs how Contour helps families find the right program at scale. Building the systems, the discipline, and the leadership infrastructure to convert genuine student demand into enrolments at three times the pace.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an elevation and architecture role. A capable sales function already exists. Your job is to take it to the next level, putting the infrastructure, systems, and commercial rigour underneath a talented function of 20 so they can operate at national scale.

Most VP Sales roles sit inside mature organisations where the playbook is written, or early-stage startups where the scale isn't there yet. We empower students and their studies by providing highly engaging small-group tutoring designed to prepare them for school assessments and final exams. Our sessions are presented by experienced tutors who offer comprehensive and intuitive instruction. We focus on developing a strong intuitive understanding of the subject before doing rigorous practice to drive high scores.
Our classes are usually between 6-18 students in size, with one (sometimes two!) expert tutors supporting, guiding, and mentoring students through their high school journey. We currently teach 13 subjects from the Year 10 Level to the VCE and operate in two locations (Glen Waverley, Melbourne CBD) as well as Online. We also offer UCAT tutoring!
Since our founding in 2020, we've seen over 2,000 students and 25 staff join our tutoring services. Our growth is a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality tutoring experiences and helping students achieve their goals. We ranked as the 17th Fastest Growing Startup by the Australian Financial Review in 2022, and we're still expanding!
