This position will be based in our Office in Cayman in a full in person work model.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all financial reporting processes across the Group, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and guide teams responsible for consolidation, financial closing, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Present and communicate financial results to senior leadership, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders, including earnings calls and investor presentations.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, leveraging technology (Oracle FCCS and other tools) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, IFRS, auditing standards, and internal accounting policies, establishing a strong control environment.
• Lead interactions with external and internal auditors, regulators, and other oversight bodies, representing the Group at the highest level.
• Monitor and interpret new accounting and tax pronouncements, advising executive leadership on their impact and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to align financial reporting with strategic objectives and support decision-making.
• Act as a key advisor to the CFO and executive committee on financial reporting matters, risk management, and compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified professional accountant with certifications such as CA (SA) or ACCA (US CPA not sufficient for IFRS purposes).
• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams and complex reporting structures.
• Proven expertise in IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and audit management
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and Oracle tools (FCCS)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, Board members, and external stakeholders
• Multilingual: English, Portuguese, Spanish
• Track record of strategic thinking, organizational excellence, and driving transformation in financial reporting functions.
