Working Model: Cardiff or London (flexible hybrid working model)

Responsibilities

Build an elite regional AI-FDE practice that repeatedly turns AIP capability into measurable customer production value.

What you will own:

• Recruit, onboard, coach and retain AI-FDEs and Value FDEs; protect the hiring bar as the practice scales.
• Stand up customer-funded pods, each with one Value FDE and one AI-FDE as the persistent core.
• Allocate scarce pod capacity like investment capital: qualified accounts and use cases, not entitlement or utilisation.
• Make every pod run the common loop: Idea, Map to Value, Build MVE, Validate, Production, next idea.
• Drive production adoption, customer self-sufficiency and reuse; manage staffing, bench risk, travel and pod economics.
• Run the field-to-Product/R&D feedback loop with AIP and agent engineering.
• Manages the Hub Leads in the region.
• Works with BVDA/BVDE/PDE and Delivery Squad leadership without duplicating their account or delivery responsibilities.

Requirements

• Proven leader of high-calibre technical and/or customer-facing product engineering teams.
• Enough technical judgement to assess AI-FDE quality, enough customer judgement to assess Value FDEs.
• Has built a new capability, deployed AI into complex enterprises, and holds the bar under hiring pressure.
• 8+ years delivering software or AI solutions at customer sites, including 3+ years leading teams of 10 or more.
• Hands-on with AI agents and large language models in production, or a deep enterprise software delivery record and the drive to get there fast.
• Credibility with business leaders: you can run a workshop with a COO and a design review with engineers on the same day.
• Insurance or financial services experience; underwriting, claims or policy administration is a strong plus.
• A record of hiring well and fast, and of keeping people.
