Job Description

Drives enterprise-wide operational excellence initiatives that enhance efficiency, service quality, and overall organizational performance, while serving as both a strategic advisor and hands-on practitioner to apply continuous improvement methodologies that strengthen safety, compliance, and reliability.

  • Defines and drives the enterprise-wide operational transformation vision while leading strategic planning across major business units and aligning departmental goals with broader corporate objectives to strengthen organizational effectiveness and long-term operational excellence.

  • Oversees and shapes enterprise operational ecosystems by guiding comprehensive assessments that identify systemic gaps, emerging risks, and optimization opportunities, while championing continuous improvement methodologies to enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational maturity.

  • Approves and finalizes key transformation initiatives, operational standards, and governance expectations, championing enterprise-wide adherence to compliance and ethical standards to reinforce organizational integrity, regulatory alignment, and disciplined execution.

  • Establishes and influences enterprise-wide performance indicators and leverages KPI-driven insights to guide strategic execution, improve data-informed decision-making, and support executive leadership across business units.

  • Aligns and directs cross-functional operational leaders while building high-performing leadership teams and overseeing enterprise-wide people strategies to ensure leadership behaviors, culture, and capabilities support business goals, drive innovation, and strengthen organizational culture.

  • Represents the organization and the operations and transformation function in executive forums and with key external stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, enhance market position, and ensure strategic coherence across enterprise initiatives.

  • Directs and budgeted financial planning and enterprise-wide resource allocation to maximize return on investment, support organizational growth and profitability, and enable high-impact operational improvements.

  • Leads and supports organizational strategies for emergency preparedness, restoration of critical services, and enterprise resilience to ensure business continuity, safeguard operations, and reinforce community trust during disruptive events.

  • Leads strategic planning and execution across major business units to achieve corporate objectives.

  • Directs financial planning and resource allocation across functions to support enterprise growth and profitability.

  • Champions and models enterprise-wide process improvement methodologies, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and root-cause practices to enhance reliability, efficiency, and operational maturity while cultivating a continuous improvement culture.

  • Embraces and leads additional strategic responsibilities as needed to advance enterprise objectives and organizational resilience.

Additional Job Description:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Organizational Effectiveness, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • 15 years of experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, business transformation, or continuous improvement initiatives with responsibilities of planning, budgeting, and at least 8 years' experience in a in senior leadership or executive-level roles overseeing multiple business units or enterprise-level functions.

  • Demonstrated experience driving enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives and overseeing large‑scale, high‑complexity operations and budgets, delivering measurable transformation across diversified business units.

  • Demonstrated experience providing senior‑level leadership and influence across the enterprise by aligning executive stakeholders, governance bodies, and cross‑functional teams, effectively mobilizing action and decision‑making without relying on formal authority.

  • Experience applying advanced strategic thinking and sophisticated analytical judgment to assess complex business ecosystems, translate organizational challenges into high‑value opportunities, and guide executive decisions that elevate enterprise performance.

  • Experience fostering operational credibility and organizational cohesion by engaging effectively at all levels from frontline personnel to senior leadership ensuring cultural alignment, executional consistency, and an integrated perspective across field, operational, and corporate environments.

  • Experience in electric, gas, water, energy, utility, infrastructure, or highly regulated industries is preferred

  • Experience with Kaizen, Lean Enterprise, Agile, Change Management, and Operational Excellence frameworks.

Additional education may substitute for the required experience when it aligns with the competencies and knowledge necessary for the role:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, organizational effectiveness, industrial engineering, or related field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 12 years of experience performing related functions and at least 8 years of progressive experience in in senior leadership or executive-level roles overseeing multiple business units or enterprise-level functions.

  • Doctor’s degree in business administration, organizational effectiveness, industrial engineering, or related field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of experience performing related functions and with progressive experience in a senior leadership or executive-level roles overseeing multiple business units or enterprise-level functions.
