Job Description

VP, Portfolio Management - Real Estate

Department: Portfolio Management - Real Estate

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: London

A Vice President in Portfolio Management supports the Managing Director in driving performance across a portfolio of real estate backed investments, utilizing the breadth of the Arrow platforms and the expertise of the Transaction and Asset Management teams to drive value, cashflow and exits. This role will be both internal and external facing (including third party service providers and input into reporting to our LP investor base), combining strong analytical rigor, day-to-day portfolio oversight, and a deep understanding of our investments.

About the role

  • Strong knowledge of investments within their portfolio, tracking key performance triggers and engaging with platforms and asset management experts to help drive value
  • Using commercial acumen to assess proposals from servicers and asset managers (and flagging where action is not being proactively proposed), supporting the Managing Director with the portfolio management delegated authority process for the respective investments
  • Good understanding of Fund level metrics (net IRR’s, multiples etc) and how investment level decisions feed into overall fund performance
  • Knowledge of debt structures for respective investments and regular assessment of key covenants alongside the Capital Markets team
  • Engagement and working with the Transaction team on key investment exits
  • Supporting the running of quarterly investment performance roll-ups with the Office of the CIO
  • Supporting Investor and Board (quarterly) reporting for respective deals – providing insight on key investments and performance updates
  • Investor meeting support and Fund-raising involvement including the preparation of deal case studies
  • The assessment and provision of business plans for quarterly valuations to the Valuations team

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience in private credit, private equity, real estate or special situations funds
  • Track record supporting or managing investment performance across a portfolio. A background in commercial real estate is strongly preferred but not strictly necessary
  • Commercial sense and strong financial modelling capability
  • Strong analytical capabilities, the ability to process information in deep detail while retaining a view of the big picture, and the ability to distil data and situational background into concise summaries to inform senior management decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Portfolio Management is a fulcrum group within Arrow, and the ideal candidate will need to work collaboratively with colleagues across nearly all departments
  • Confidence supporting investor-facing engagements

About Arrow Global Group

Arrow is a leading European vertically integrated alternative asset manager specialising in private credit and real estate.

Arrow was founded in 2005 by Zach Lewy, CEO, CIO, with the ambition of creating Europe’s leading private credit and real estate investment platform. Today, we deliver best-in-class risk-adjusted returns for global investors across real estate, direct lending, and opportunistic credit. Arrow’s hallmark is to invest opportunistically, moving between European geographies, asset classes and positions in the capital stack as we evaluate evolving risk/return dynamics. To execute this strategy, Arrow has developed its geographic and asset-class expertise in its target markets.

We own critical parts of the European infrastructure which gives us a practical advantage when operating in fragmented European markets. Our best-in-class asset management and servicing platforms generate differentiated opportunities through a disciplined investing, underwriting insight and proprietary dealflow.
