The Partnerships & Platform divisionis responsible forall elements of strategic partnerships for the dentsu Media practice in the US. The team sits at the intersection ofdentsu’smedia agencies (Carat, iProspect anddentsuX), clients,investmentand activation communities, andAmplifi, the commercial innovation arm for dentsu. The teamis responsible fortranslating the business needs ofdentsu’sclients, the strategic and commercial imperatives of dentsu itself, as well as emergent and established trends across the industry and society into strategic, value-driven, and beneficial partnerships. They also set the strategic agenda forpartnerships atdentsu in the marketplace,how that pertains tonew business and in product/solution design within dentsu.
The VP willoperateas a subject matter expert inourFandomoffering, inclusive ofsports, entertainment and IP,both internally and externally – but will be expected tooperateacross adjacent media channels, environmentalcontextsand disciplines. The core assignment of the role will bedeterminingthe partnership strategy for their specialism,negotiatingand delivering partnership agreements against that strategy, and finally ensuring that these partnerships deliver against the coreobjectives strategic, innovative,value-driven Reporting into theSVP,Head of Fandom- Partnerships and Marketplaces,this role will be tasked with contributing their coreobjectivestowards the overall partnership strategy and vision across all channels.
As a role that touches several capabilities within dentsu – from technology to media investmentand activation,tradingand planning/strategy – an ability to work with multiple stakeholders to create ‘win wins’ for all. This role will be expected to provide ongoing feedback to senior management on status and priority as well as to future-proofdentsu’sbusiness by building innovative partnerships with key vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Own and leada portfolio ofrelationships with partners in the market, distributing pertinent information to management where needed across dentsu stakeholders.
Using market intelligence, clientfeedbackand collaboration across the core stakeholders (Amplifi, Investment & Activation,Agencies),todevelopand executea partnership strategy for the year
Partner with senior leadership to identify new partnership opportunities to strengthen relationships with key vendors, anticipating critical needs of our business
Be a leader and subject-matter-expertin assigned specialism within the Partnership communitywhile embracingcross-channelstrategy andrepresentingotherchannels in partnership discussions.
Work closely withInvestment&Activation teams andAmplifito ensure partnership approach meets the needs of our clients andvalue extractiongoals
Work cohesively across dentsu media and dentsu creative to help drive aligned partnerships and go to market strategies across all aspects of social.
Responsible forproperlyidentifyingandassessingcommercialopportunity,ensuringopportunity is maximized and successfullydelivered.
Be seen as an integrator and problem solver both internally and externally driving partners andmaintainingon-time engagement across several variables.
Drive standards of excellence and consistency across the team, including reporting, ways of working, endeavortrackingand partnership compliance
Support the development of key Partnership themes and lead in external communicationsofthese inmarket (panels, PR, articles), particularly inareaof specialism.
Liaise and partner with Product and Solutions organizations tofacilitatepartnership development andcapability creation within dentsu.
Provide consistent communication and organization of key partnership information to teams and management to capture all the nuanceddetailof these commercial agreements and keep on track for deal progression. Including saving key information for easy distribution across the organization.
Consult on client business to build custompartnership plans andsubject-matter-expertiseof partner landscape
Participate in new business assubject-matter-expertin specialism and/or Partnership leader on value proposition forpotentialclient

Qualifications:
10-12 years’ experience within the digital industry as a partnership or investment lead at a reputable agency or partner.
5+years’ experience management of a team – with the ability to leada highly successfulteam.
Consistentexceptional project management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communications, presentation, and analyticalskills;must be comfortable working with and presenting sophisticated metrics to C-level.
Ability toretainprofessionalism in all situations.
Passion for problem-solving and collaboration across teams.
Ability to translate complex ideas into actionable solutions.
The annual base salary range for this position is $136,850-$220,000. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
