Partner One is a leading investment group with a 30-year history of acquiring and growing successful software companies. We are currently seeking an M&A VP/Director to join our deal execution team. This role is 100% remote, but may require some traveling.

As an M&A VP/Director at Partner One, you will play a pivotal role in driving the entire M&A lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to transaction close. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven experience executing transactions and the ability to independently lead deals in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Relationship Building:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owner-operators, investment bankers and large corporations
  • Conduct early-stage discussions with business owners and senior executives to qualify targets for strategic fit and deal probability

  • Leadership:
    • Manage and mentor a team of analysts and associates
    • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and execution excellence

  • Transaction Leadership:
    • Independently lead M&A transactions from origination through closing
    • Drive multiple live transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless and efficient execution

  • Offer Structuring & Negotiation:
    • Prepare and negotiate indicative offers, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), ensuring alignment with Partner One’s strategic objectives
    • Lead negotiations with counterparties in a dynamic and fast-moving deal environment

    Qualifications:

    1. Professional Experience:
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, including at least 3 years focused on software M&A
    • Demonstrated expertise executing M&A transactions with a proven track record of successfully closing deals
    • Strong relationship-building and negotiation experience

  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and operate effectively in a high-volume transaction environment
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in relationship management and transaction-related writing
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and execution-oriented

  • Flexibility:
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet aggressive deadlines, and adapt to variable hours
    • Willingness to travel as needed to facilitate transaction execution

    Benefits

    Estimated Compensation Range: $100,000-$150, 000 USD annually + Bonus
