The Vice President of Mission Integration complements the CEO in enabling the Franciscan Alliance mission, philosophy and values to be vital, operational and integrated throughout all departments, services, and activities, as well as the community at large. This position, as a member of the executive team, participates in policy making, direction setting, internal and external communications and relationships between the facility and religious, civic, and church communities. The VP is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of mission awareness activities in the organization and serves as a liaison with the health system for all matters directly relating to mission integration.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Advocates for the best quality of patient care; ensures Franciscan Alliance quality metrics are achieved through sound clinical processes following accreditation and regulatory agency guidelines.

  • Advocates Mission Integration and promotes Mission & Values by overseeing the Mission Integration Committee, as well as through membership on other committees, task forces and/or participation in mission activities, and by bringing a faith dimension to the activities and operations of the organization.

  • Directs the preparation of the annual budget for the respective division; manages budgets and costs through the responsible use of planning and control systems, which include taking into consideration forecast levels of operations, cost-effective utilization of resources and realistic financial variances.

  • Facilitates and reinforces, through business processes and performance measures, a mindset for excellence in order to reduce unnecessary variations, improve clinical outcomes, and reduce costs.

  • Initiates and sponsors the development and implementation of quality improvement projects that enhance application and systems cost efficiency, coworker productivity, and service to those we are privileged to serve; identifies and implements new programs or services in the areas of needs or interest to stakeholders, which enhance available services and financial viability.

  • Meets with the members of the community, physician leaders, healthcare organizations or federal/state/region officials on matters of mutual concern and to address community needs; promotes a better understanding of Franciscan Alliance programs and services.

  • Oversees implementation of a Franciscan Alliance planning process consistent with established guidelines for both long-range and operational planning; formulates statements of goals and objectives of Franciscan Alliance.

  • Oversees the effective delivery of service to those we are privileged to serve, evaluating satisfaction to those we are privileged to serve to ensure the organization is meeting quality service standards.

  • Promotes Mission & Values by continually educating individuals on the Catholic identity, mission and values, and assists in the assessment & evaluation of ministry throughout the institution.

  • Provides leadership input to the Ethics Committee to support the Ethical Discernment Process, applying sound ethical thinking to issues affecting individual, organizational, and community relationships.

  • Supports integration of Spiritual Care Services with community faith groups and working with staff to develop an atmosphere that welcomes expressions of spirituality as sources of strength, comfort, and healing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An active practicing Catholic - Required

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required

  • 5 years Spiritual Care - Required

  • 5 years Managerial Experience - Preferred

Up to 20%
