Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive marketing operations strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and vision, focusing on modernization and efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior marketing leadership on project and program management-related matters.
  • Prioritize initiatives and establish a marketing project portfolio based on strategic importance, resource availability, and ROI.
  • Oversee the use and adoption of work management tools, ensuring all users are trained and the tool is configured for optimal utilization, efficiency, and reporting.
  • Lead the integration of disparate martech tools and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of martech platforms and technologies to streamline processes, improve visibility, and enhance team productivity.
  • Evaluate, adopt, or retire martech based on organizational needs, and stay abreast of emerging tech trends to recommend innovations.
  • Translate strategic marketing objectives into operational plans, set up adaptive planning workflows, and manage progress reporting.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices, methodologies, and standards across the team to ensure consistent, efficient, and effective project delivery.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and best practices in work management, incorporating relevant insights to maintain a best-in-class approach.
  • Audit existing processes to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to reduce operational friction and improve workflow integration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing operations project managers and technology leaders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Develop and implement training initiatives to upskill team members in both technical and soft skills, supporting organizational change and growth.
  • Lead budgeting and financial planning processes, allocate resources efficiently, and support forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Evaluate ROI across marketing channels, reallocate resources as needed, and apply zero-based prioritization to optimize spending.
  • Oversee the execution and delivery of complex, high-impact marketing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Select, negotiate, and collaborate with external agencies and suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and maintain service quality.
  • Define measurement frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor project performance and overall marketing operations efficiency.
  • Provide regular project status updates and performance reports to leadership and key stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Leverage performance data and analytics to identify trends, uncover opportunities for optimization, and drive continuous improvement across marketing operations.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Certification / Registration / License

Experience

  • 10+ years progressive leadership required, 12-15+ years preferred experience in brand development, marketing, brand strategy, brand consulting, or strategic planning.
  • 7+ years of experience managing others required.
  • Has demonstrated knowledge and experience with marketing operations planning and execution

  • Forward-looking mindset, adept at integrating industry best practices and regulatory insights in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong ability to apply market and consumer understanding to campaign measurement and marketing mix modeling.
  • Proficient in leveraging statistical modeling and analytics software tools to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong background in data analysis, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and related analytical functions.
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing large-scale, complex initiatives.
  • Deep technical expertise in cloud-based data platforms and cutting-edge digital analytics tools.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing teams and cross-functional working groups, inspiring collaboration and delivering results.
