The Vice President of Manufacturing – Industrial Business will oversee all manufacturing operations within the industrial oils business, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic leader who can align manufacturing processes with the company's goals, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of safety and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement the manufacturing strategy to support overall business objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align manufacturing initiatives with company goals.
Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Lead initiatives to maintain and improve product quality and consistency.
Champion a culture of safety across all manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing manufacturing team.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
Analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to maintain competitive advantage.
Work closely with supply chain, engineering, and R&D teams to align manufacturing capabilities with product development and market demand.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support manufacturing objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong background in the chemical industry.
Proven experience in a senior leadership role, demonstrating a track record of operational excellence and team leadership.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
