1. Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide advisory on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Drive HR transformation initiatives aligned with OCBC’s business goals and culture.

2. Talent Management & Development

  • Lead talent review processes and succession planning.
  • Identify high-potential employees and work with leaders to build strong talent pipelines.
  • Support learning and development initiatives to build future-ready capabilities.

3. Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Promote a high-performance and inclusive culture aligned with OCBC values.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and analyze survey results to implement action plans.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, fostering positive employee relations.

4. Performance Management

  • Support and guide managers on performance management processes including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Ensure fairness, consistency, and adherence to OCBC policies.
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance issues and development planning.

5. HR Operations & Policy Advisory

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employment regulations, and best practices.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) such as Talent Acquisition, Rewards, and Learning to deliver integrated HR solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal governance requirements.

6. Change Management

  • Support organizational change initiatives including restructuring, transformation, and digitalization projects.
  • Manage communication and stakeholder engagement during change efforts.

7. Data & Analytics

  • Leverage HR analytics to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor key HR metrics such as attrition, engagement, and workforce trends.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRP, SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.

Experience

  • 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4–6 years in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in partnering with senior stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link HR strategies to business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage complex organizational issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices.
