The VP Finance & Controls will initially lead the end-to-end review, validation, and management of bordereau statements as well as the build-out of controls for the company's property and casualty (P&C} program business. With a focus on finance transformation and modernization, this role will be responsible for building and overseeing a high-quality bordereau workflow with a focus of establishing controls and standard reporting across all programs ensuring data accuracy, strengthening carrier and MGA relationships, and supporting the company's transition toward a fully automated program administration model.
This leader will initially serve as the primary point of accountability for bordereau processing and ingestion, reconciliation, compliance monitoring and reporting. As this process matures, the VP Finance & Controls will assist with identifying control gaps and work with senior leaders in the Finance department to design and implement new controls across reinsurance, treasury and other areas. This leader will a Iso own Finance transformation initiatives, including accelerating the financial dose, optimizing end-to-end workflows and supporting the adoption of modern tools, automation and best practices to position Finance as a scalable and data-driven function.

Key Responsibilities
Bordereau Management & Data Oversight

• Oversee the receipt, processing, and validation of premium, claims, and exposure bordereau files from MGAs, TPAs, and program partners.
• Develop and maintain standardized bordereau templates, data dictionaries, and quality-control protocols.
• Review bordereau submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual requirements.
• identify discrepancies, trends, or anomalies and coordinate timely resolution with internal teams and externa! partners.
• Ensure bordereau data is properly reconciled with financial, actuarial, and underwriting systems.
• Provide Finance required data to support regulatory filing requirements.
• Design and implement controls to support the company's growing portfolio.

Internal Controls Leadership

• Design, implement and maintain a robust internal control framework across various Finance functions, including reinsurance, treasury and cash management.
• Establish governance routines, control ownership, documentation standards and testing protocols.
• Oversee Finance control activities, including risk assessments, control design and remediation. Partner with Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance to ensure alignment across all control programs.

SALARY: The estimated salary range for this position is $200,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
