ABOUT THE ROLE

Crown Castle is seeking a Vice President to join its Commercial team. The Commercial team is responsible for driving the Company’s revenue growth and managing all customer relationships. As a leader on the team, the Vice President will lead the team responsible for all market and regional sales. The Vice President should be a highly skilled leader who is exceptional at delivering near and long-term sales targets and objectives. This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and provides frequent opportunities to interact with the Company’s executive leadership.

This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize the company's leasing activity in the field. The Vice President will be responsible for managing customer relationships at the most senior regional and market levels. It requires leading a field sales team that works across all customer and product types and geographies. The role requires an ability to build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, negotiate agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop and implement sales strategies for Mobile Network Operators, Government, Wireless Internet Service Providers, Decentralized Network Operators, and more.
• Lead and manage a results-focused sales team.
• Maximize market share with clients needing shared connectivity infrastructure space for leasing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and regularly communicate sales strategies, initiatives, and account updates.
• Own senior customer relationships at a regional level.
• Ensure intelligence sharing and collaboration by providing updates to stakeholders and conducting senior-level reviews.
• Gather customer intelligence.
• Engage at senior levels (Directors, Senior Directors, and Assistant Vice Presidents) within target accounts and identify new business opportunities.
• Support cross-functional teams by identifying and coordinating capital investment opportunities and emerging models.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction.
• Identify, upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase leasing and expand service revenue opportunities within the client base.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Experience/Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of Seven (12)+ years telecom sales experience
• Successful track record in prospecting new business, negotiation, and managing to a sales target
• Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
• High level of financial and business acumen, able to analyze and solve problems with varying degrees of complexity

Where You Will Work: There is a preference for this role to sit in our Houston, TX office. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates, customers, and other stakeholders that require 50%+ travel.

Compensation

The salary range offered for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
