Develop and execute a comprehensive facility development strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and growth objectives
Conduct feasibility studies and market analyses to identify opportunities for new facilities or expansion of existing ones
Lead the planning and execution of major capital projects, ensuring they meet organizational needs and quality standards
Work closely with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to ensure facility designs meet operational requirements and enhance the patient experience
Oversee all phases of facility projects, from initial concept and design to construction and occupancy
Ensure all facility projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including healthcare-specific requirements (e.g., ADA, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards)
Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays, cost overruns, or safety concerns
Develop and manage budgets for facility development projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial stewardship
Vendor and Contract with architects, contractors, and other vendors to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality service delivery. Oversee vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met throughout the duration of each project
Identify opportunities to optimize costs through efficient resource allocation, value engineering, and innovative construction techniques. Regularly review financial reports to ensure projects remain within approved budgets
Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, planners, and other facility development professionals. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to ensure team members grow in their roles
Foster collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment between facility designs and operational needs. Act as a champion for a patient-centered approach, integrating clinical input into facility planning and design
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the facility development team. Ensure team members adhere to organizational values and project management best practices.
