What impact will you make in this role?

We are seeking a highly skilled EUI Desktop & VDI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing digital workspace environments using Azure Virtual Desktops, Windows 365, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. The candidate should also possess experience integrating these technologies with ServiceNow products to automate workflows and enhance IT service management. As an EUI Desktop & VDI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining the future of our digital workplace, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable virtual desktop solutions for our organization.

What will you do as a VP, EUI Desktop & VDI Engineer?

Design & Implementation:

  • Design, build and implement digital workspace solutions leveraging Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD), and Windows 365 to meet business needs.
  • Design, build, and maintain Windows OS images and configuration baselines for laptops and desktops.
  • Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance desktop virtualization environments for a distributed and remote workforce.
  • Lead the design of integrated device management strategies using Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune to manage, deploy, and secure endpoints.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management:

  • Develop cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) strategies with a focus on optimizing performance, security, and cost.
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure cloud-based solutions meet compliance, governance, and security policies, including Zero Trust architecture.
  • Optimize and automate provisioning, scaling, and management of virtual desktops across Azure, and Windows 365 environments.
  • Develop and enforce configuration and compliance baselines for physical endpoints, ensuring alignment with enterprise security and lifecycle policies.
  • Monitor and optimize endpoint performance and capacity, supporting scalability and cost efficiency across physical and virtual environments.

End-User Experience & Support:

  • Analyse and optimize end-user experience for desktop and application access, ensuring seamless functionality across all virtual desktop environments.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues related to Desktop, AVD, Windows 365, and related technologies.


Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, security, operations) to align EUI Engineering with broader IT and business strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to IT support teams on digital workspace technologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Create detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and operational procedures for internal IT teams.

What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing digital workspace solutions.
  • Proven experience with AWS Workspaces, Citrix Cloud DaaS, Azure Virtual Desktops, and Windows 365.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO), Intune, and ServiceNow ITSM product integration.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure management on AWS and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, including Zero Trust, MFA, identity management, and endpoint security.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) platforms, including Citrix Cloud, AVD, and Windows 365.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integration, workflow automation, and ITSM practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and networking concepts (VPN, firewalls, DNS).
  • Hands-on experience in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), possessing basic to advanced knowledge of Conditional Access policies
