Mission

DoorLoop is hiring a VP Engineeringin this role, you will own the predictable execution, velocity, and delivery quality of GTM product-facing engineering squads. You will ensure roadmap commitments are delivered on time, drive sustained improvements in engineering velocity, embed quality into product development, and operate as a strong execution partner to Product leadership. This role focuses exclusively on product squads and does not own platform, infrastructure, DevOps, security, or IT.

Responsibilities

• Own Product Roadmap Execution: Deliver committed product roadmap initiatives on time and within scope, surface risks early, and manage delivery tradeoffs transparently.
• Drive Engineering Velocity: Improve product squad velocity through data-driven capacity planning, prioritization, and continuous execution improvement.
• Strengthen Product Partnership: Partner closely with Product leadership to provide accurate estimates, early technical input, and reliable delivery commitments.
• Embed Engineering-Owned Quality: Ensure product squads own automated testing, reduce regressions, and improve post-release quality and release confidence.
• Enable Continuous Deployment: Drive adoption of CI/CD practices across product squads to support frequent, low-risk releases.
• Lead Talent & Performance Management: Build and maintain high-performing product squads through hiring, coaching, feedback, and scorecard-based performance management.
• Advance AI Adoption: Champion AI tools and practices that improve developer productivity, delivery speed, and product innovation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering
• 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role (VP Engineering or equivalent).
• Proven experience leading engineering organizations within a SaaS company with 80+ engineers, supporting multiple product squads operating at high velocity.
• Demonstrated success running and scaling high-velocity product engineering teams, delivering complex roadmaps predictably and at scale.
• Strong experience owning end-to-end product delivery, including estimation, execution, quality, and release management.
• Deep knowledge of Agile execution, capacity planning, and performance measurement in product-focused engineering organizations.
• Hands-on experience driving CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and continuous delivery practices across product teams.
• Proven ability to partner effectively with Product and cross-functional leadership in fast-growing SaaS environments.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining engineering managers and technical leaders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
