What you do
- Responsible for selecting, appointing and monitoring external custodian partnerships and gold vault providers
- Run formal RFP/RFI tenders and competitive reviews; provide benchmarking and selection recommendations to internal governance forums
- Negotiate and execute custodian agreements, fee schedules, FX/cash terms, service level agreements; manage contract renewals and amendments
- Support the opening of new markets, onboarding new providers, manage provider transitions and migrations
- Lead regular service level reviews with custodian providers, working in close collaboration with Operations and Business Leads.
- Act as subject matter expert and internal coordination point for OCBC Group entities and stakeholders (such as Operations, Sales, Compliance, Legal and Tax) for custody-related matters
- Support new markets and new clients initiatives that require traditional custody and gold custody coverage
- Represent the firm with CSDs, regulators, industry bodies on market practise and asset-protection matters
- Conduct regular due diligence reviews on sub-custodian and vault provider relationships; lead regular assessment of financial strength, operational capabilities, BCP resiliency, cyber security protections; track findings to closure; maintain contingency plans

Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in either finance, business, economics, accounting specialisation
8-12 years practical experience across custody and gold product, securities operations, asset servicing, operational risk or network management roles
Strong working knowledge of custody and gold operations – settlements, safekeeping, asset segregation, corporate actions, income, tax reclaims, FX
Experience with operational due-diligence and risk assessment
Experience with managing provider relationships, commercial negotiations, service governance, issue resolution and remediation
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills; collaborative working-style aligned with one-firm cross-product culture
