
The Vice President, Commercial – Nuclear Development will play a critical leadership role in advancing NYPA’s strategy to bring nuclear generation to New York. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Nuclear Development, this executive drives the commercial vision for NYPA’s emerging nuclear portfolio: shaping partnership models, evaluating opportunities, and defining the commercial pathways that position NYPA to deploy advanced nuclear technologies at scale.
This role is central to turning strategy into executable, investment‑ready projects. The VP leads commercial structuring for complex, first‑of‑a‑kind initiatives; cultivates high‑impact relationships with technology providers, government partners, and industry leaders; and ensures NYPA’s commercial approach aligns with its public mission, regulatory environment, and long‑term system needs. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the VP brings strong commercial instincts, disciplined risk awareness, and an ability to navigate dynamic technical and policy landscapes.
The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated understanding of the nuclear sector and a passion for helping NYPA deliver reliable, zero‑carbon generation that supports New York’s clean‑energy future.

The estimated salary range for this position is: $216,750 - $270,000 The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
