About the Role

The Vice President Commercial for Finland is responsible for setting and executing Yara’s commercial vision in the Finnish market, ensuring sustainable growth, strong market performance and long‑term value creation. The role leads the national sales, marketing and agronomy organization, driving excellence across customer engagement, channel development, and crop-focused solutions.


As a key member of the Nordics Commercial leadership team, the VP Commercial is responsible for strengthening Yara’s market position by developing high-performing teams, fostering strategic partnerships across the value chain, and ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies. The role safeguards Yara’s reputation by role-modelling the company’s values, promoting a culture of trust, inclusion, and performance, and representing Yara with customers, authorities, partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Finlands commercial strategy to strengthen Yara’s market position and ensure sustainable growth across key agricultural segments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop local sales, marketing, and agronomy teams to achieve high performance and customer-centric operations
  • Lead strategic planning for sales, marketing, and agronomy to deliver volume, profitability, and market share targets
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to steer long-term commercial direction
  • Maintain and further develop strong relationships with distributors and value chain partners
  • Ensure strong agronomic expertise within the organization and alignment with Yara’s global knowledge and R&D capabilities
  • Own the national P&L for the commercial organization, ensuring profitable growth and efficient resource allocation
  • Actively collaborate with regional and global teams and support functions to leverage synergies, scale, and best practices across markets
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, diversity, equality, and inclusion across the organization
  • Drive adoption of digital tools, CRM systems, and data-driven decision-making across the commercial function
  • Ensure high standards in safety, product stewardship, and ethical business conduct

Profile

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, Economics, or related field
  • Solid commercial leadership experience within agribusiness, crop nutrition, food value chain, or related B2B industries
  • Proven track record in leading sales, marketing, and/or agronomy teams with P&L responsibility
  • Strong understanding of farming systems, crop production, and distributor networks, ideally within Nordic or European market
  • Experience driving go-to-market strategies, customer-oriented solutions, and multichannel commercial execution
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate long-term vision into operational execution
  • Inspires and empowers teams; recognized for a collaborative and inclusive leadership style
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships internally and with distributors, industry bodies, and authorities
  • Excellent analytical capabilities paired with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating change in a dynamic market environment
  • Strong business acumen with proven success in driving sales growth, profitability, and market positioning
