Responsibilities

• Drive and responsible for the conceptualization of the technical solution architecture/design base on project’s requirements and IT strategies.
• Work with enterprise architects, systems SMEs and product vendors to ensure the proposed technical solution complied with enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines while meeting the project objectives.
• Bridge between the enterprise architects and the project’s technical delivery team.
• Create and update the technical design documentation for the proposed solution architecture.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to drive the solution architecture process and approval.
• Articulate and get buy-in for the technical solution from IT management and the enterprise technology/architecture board.
• Participate in vendor/product/technology evaluation and selection for the solution proposal.
• Assist in reviewing the test cases from system integration perspective.
• Undertake research and innovation to keep up to date with industry and technology trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of working experience in the financial industry with minimum 7 years in solution architecture roles.
• Familiar with the system and project implementation lifecycle in a banking environment.
• Experienced in conceptualizing scalable, resilient technical architecture solution involving cloud solution providers and on-premises systems.
• Proficiency in knowledge comprising system integration patterns, enterprise architecture, microservices architecture and cloud computing services.
• Broad knowledge of Banking technologies and systems including industry development and trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts and get buy in from management and stakeholders.
• Analytical with problem solving mindset and attention to details.
• Experience in system integration using REST API and Host to Host (SFTP).
• Knowledge on API specification definition and security (OAUTH, OIDC, MTLS etc).
• Knowledge on SFTP and security (SSH Key, PGP encryption etc)
• Experience in API management platform (APIM) and ability to configure APIM policy, API publishing, security aspects and monitoring.
• Knowledge on cloud infrastructure and how it works, especially relating to networking and cloud serverless computing.
• Experience in system development (especially Java) and understanding of code management tool such as GIT or SVN.
• Knowledge on Azure APIM and Azure IaaS/PaaS is preferred.
• Azure native services – App Services, Logic App/Function App, Container Services.
• Experience in Agile Development and DevOps will be advantageous.
• Relevant certification in TOGAF and cloud solution architecture is a plus.
