The VP, Category Management for Professional Services, Market Data and Corporate Facilities will be responsible for assisting with enterprise-wide management of all strategic activities pertaining to Category Management in the relevant spend categories. Within this framework, he/she will be a key resource to the business units in both leading and assisting in the Company’s procurement processes. Using a consultative procurement model focused on Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, the primary focus will be to provide the necessary professional and organizational direction, and support that is needed to lead, or closely coordinate activities across all business units within the Company, and its subsidiaries. To carry out this mission, he/she will need to build strong partnerships with the Business Units, BU CFOs and other key business stakeholders, and must be skilled in selling the Leveraged Sourcing and Category Management concepts.

To this end he/she will focus on:

  • Ensuring Sourcing Management strategy and goals for Professional Services, Market Data and Corporate Facilities Categories are aligned with the overall SSG and Company objectives
  • Working with major stakeholders to embed a formal, fact-based procurement process in all company Professional Services, Market Data and Corporate Facilities procurement activities, which will enable the organization to leverage our purchasing power
  • Facilitating SSG processes across the company on behalf of end users
  • Developing and embedding Category Management strategies for select commodities
  • Assisting with management of and reporting on the progress of the Supplier Diversity Program
  • Managing customer, and supplier relationships during the planning and sourcing phases
  • Developing a culture that attracts, rewards and promotes quality strategic sourcing professionals
  • Monitoring team performance against established goals

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10-15+ years of Leadership experience in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management as part of best-in-class sourcing organizations with strong customer centric approach
  • A Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Strong experience in procurement business process re-engineering
  • Experience sourcing Professional Services spend categories, including Legal, Contingent Labor, HR Services, Financial Services, and IT Professional Services
  • Experience sourcing Market Data spend category
  • Experience sourcing Corporate Facilities spend category
  • Experience building and executing against category strategies is preferred
  • Prior experience with M&A integration environment is preferred
  • Significant experience with and exposure to Procure-to-Pay process
  • Leadership experience with ability to assume a project lead role and drive project strategies, supplier negotiations and implementation of Procurement programs for a wide variety of products and services
  • Ability to build robust partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including market research, data and information analysis, RFP assessment and evaluation
  • Ability to present business cases to drive stakeholder engagement, endorsement and process improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence positive outcomes
  • Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize responsibilities appropriately, and complete work in a timely manner
  • Previous consulting experience is preferred
  • Motivated self-starter with a proven track record of delivering value through effective application of collaborative and customer centric strategies

  • Deep understanding of vendor pricing methods, rate cards and pricing methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Procure-to-Pay lifecycle processes, including Supplier Risk Management, Contracting, Procurement Operations, and Payment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to quickly establish a positive reputation and credibility across the organization
  • Ability to lead negotiation in major and complex commodities

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $175,000.00- $205,000.00 USD.

Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
