
Note: This position follows our hybrid-friendly schedule, so you get the best of both worlds – flexibility and collaboration. In office days will be 2-3 per week averaging 10-12 days per month in our St Petersburg, FL Corporate Office.
This senior technology leader will provide strategic direction and oversight for multiple Brokerage Back Office development teams. The role is responsible for defining and executing product roadmaps, aligning resource plans and budgets, and ensuring consistent, high quality delivery across areas of responsibility.
This leader will drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and productivity—both within their domain and, when needed, across the broader firm. The position requires a deep understanding of the firm’s business lines and operations, with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert across key technical and/or functional areas.
The role demands strong executive presence and partnership, with frequent interaction and influence at the Raymond James senior management level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing an effective workforce strategy that includes resource management, sourcing strategies, workforce mix and appropriate resource allocation (build/buy/borrow).
Proficient in designing and building systems with an open architecture that seamlessly integrates with various third-party applications.
Influence and prioritize business unit technology initiatives, ensuring optimal project structure, governance, and execution to achieve strategic objectives while effectively managing risk.
Partner with senior business and technology leaders to identify opportunities to streamline operations, enhance capabilities, and deliver measurable business value.
Establish effective communication frameworks to promote transparency, alignment, and consistent information flow across the technology organization.
Drive leadership accountability through coordinated talent, performance, and organizational processes.
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic planning, meeting agendas, and development of executive level communications and presentations.
Maintain a strong external perspective by staying current on emerging technology, industry trends, and evolving business models.
Lead financial planning, including budget management and the establishment of annual goals and objectives; hold the organization accountable for achieving defined outcomes.
Previous Experience:
More than ten (10) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience is highly preferred.
Financial services experience required.
Background in back and middle office operations is preferred.
Experience in the following: Project Management, Enterprise Implementation, Application Development. Relevant Industry Experience

Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize ROI and cost-effectiveness.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
Manage and allocate IT resources effectively, ensuring alignment with project priorities and business needs.
