Job Objective:
Responsible for housekeeping, transportation, emergency preparedness, laboratory services, food services, radiology services, pharmacy services, and rehab therapy services. The Vice President will work closely with Eisenhower Leadership, The Medical Staff, Eisenhower Medical Associates, and other professional consultants to address the needs of the health system; also works closely with the State, Local and other regulatory agencies.

Required: Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare with progressive leadership responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities
1. Ensures that staff consistently provides high quality safe patient care and/or other support services that are valued by patients, physicians and each other.
2. Ensures a high level of employee, patient and physician satisfaction; maintains positive interpersonal relationships with medical staff, administrative peers, coworkers, and customers.
3. Participates, as required, in the strategic plan development and develops processes for implementation.
4. Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities and maintains appropriate quality control.
5. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and with policies and procedures.
6. Responsible for financial management, including budget preparation and monitoring.
7. Maintains areas of responsibility within defined productivity levels.
8. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures.
9. Integrates the department’s programs and/or services into the organization’s overall plan for the delivery of patient care and services.
10. Selects, trains/orients, directs, coaches, evaluates and counsels staff directly or through subordinate managers.
11. Develops departmental goals and objectives; develops, implements, reviews, and revises policies and procedures and includes in department orientation.
12. Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service that is consistent with the needs of the population served and planned care.
13. Implements a mechanism designed to determine the competence, qualifications and standards of performance of department personnel.
14. Practices hospital-wide scripts and ensures scripting is being utilized in areas of responsibility.
15. Complies with and ensures hospital-wide performance excellence standards are adhered to in areas of responsibility.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
