A Brief Overview

RGA is in search of an individual with strong analytical andleadership skillsreporting to theBermudaChief ValuationOfficerandsupporting theBermuda President of Bermuda with data, models, and insightto enhance reporting capabilities.Candidates should be able todemonstratea strong working knowledge ofBermuda capitalrequirementsincluding SBA

What you will do

• Build dashboards to support quarterly reporting, board material and solvency/risk committees
• Collaborate with Chief Pricing Officer to monitor capital impacts for new transaction pipeline and with local pricing teams as BSCR SMEIncluding pricing under SBA
• Collaborate with Chief Risk Officer to enhance and maintain Own Capital Model and CISSA
• Collaborate and provide actuarial oversight on LE CF inventory for BMA requirements including SBA analysis and maintenance
• Partner with ALM to build SBA framework to support strategic decision making
• Interact with BMA as SBA point person and regulatory liaison
• Liaise with ALM, Operations, Finance and Valuation colleagues to support Bermuda initiatives
• Perform ad-hoc research or data aggregation to support BMA consultation papers
• Overall accountability for multiple actuarial reporting bases i.e. US GAAP, EBS,
• Including Technical Provisions under SBA

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10 years of relevant actuarial experience in life reinsurance including valuation, pricing, capital or risk related
• Must be a Fellow of a relevant Actuarial Professional Body (e.g. IFoA, SOA)
• Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge and complex information.
• Advanced ability to recognize and articulate process improvement opportunities and capability gaps.
• Proven Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with departmental goals and objectives.
• Advanced ability to collaborate and liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
• Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into implementable specifications and support the implementation of technical and business solutions.
• Advanced understanding of reinsurance concepts and methods

Preferred Skills

• Bermuda re/insurance industry knowledge
• Reinsurance Corporate structure and legal entity flow knowledge
• EBS and BSCR expertise
• SBA experience
• Ability to manage life actuarial team and possess strong leadership skills
• Able to plan long term deliverables and ensure tasks are planned and timely
• reporting of quarterly results.
• Must have the ability to communicate in a constructive manner to all stakeholders including the Board and Senior management
• Ability to work collaboratively with different functions internally and externally.
