Are you a passionate, driven leader who thrives in a competitive volleyball environment? Asphalt Green Volleyball Club is seeking Head Coaches for the 2025–2026 club season. We are looking for experienced, motivated coaches who are committed to developing athletes and building strong, cohesive teams.

About the Role:

Head Coaches will lead a team of 12 athletes from September through May/June, taking primary responsibility for training, match performance, player development, and communication with families. Each coach will work alongside at least one assistant coach and serve as the team’s main liaison with club leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Availability for tryouts in August (minimum of three days)

• Plan and lead all team practices, matches, and tournaments.

• Provide technical instruction and tactical feedback to support player growth.

• Manage assistant coaches, ensuring consistent team messaging and accountability.

• Communicate with families and players regarding schedules, goals, and progress.

• Collaborate with club leadership on seasonal objectives and development plans.

• Attend monthly coaching development sessions led by club staff.

Season Schedule (September 2025 – May/June 2026):

• Tryouts (August 2025):

• Coaches must be available for a minimum of three days of tryouts during scheduled sessions in August (exact dates to be provided).

Team Practices:

• Weekday evenings, for 1 hour and 45-minute (typically Mondays & Thursdays OR Tuesdays & Thursdays), between 6:15pm – 9:15pm

• Saturdays (1 hour and 45-minute team training block between 1:30pm – 7:30pm)

Tournaments:

• Select weekends (January – May/June), including holiday weekends

Compensation:

• $4,500 stipend for the 2025–2026 club season

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.

• Must have played volleyball at a competitive level (club, high school, or collegiate).

• Prior coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level is required.

• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to foster a positive and competitive team culture.

• Must complete USAV/GEVA-mandated certifications, including SafeSport and IMPACT training.
