Organizational Context and Scope
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of MPX, the direct supervision of the Information Management Officer in close coordination with the Return and Reintegration Officer and Protection Officer in HQ, and in collaboration with the Migrant Management Operational Systems Application (MiMOSA) Product/Project Manager in the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) and the Regional Information Management Officers, the Information Management Officer will support MPX’s global or regional programmes by ensuring the information management systems are fit for purpose, respond to operational needs, including in challenging operational contexts, and have high adoption rates
In coordination with direct supervisor, carry out business process modelling and analyse direct assistance workflows of priority Regional and Country Offices, evaluate information management requirements to support workflow processes and document functional specifications.
Contribute to the development and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, policies, and capacity-building materials to strengthen MPX information management activities and MiMOSA and IMAP usage. Apply IOM’s Data Protection Principles, Data Governance Policy,and other relevant ethical and operational guidelines.
Provide technical guidance and support to the Regional and Country Offices in MPX information management.
Support the expansion of the use of MiMOSA and IMAP to facilitate the adoption of the platforms consistently across the Organization, in line with relevant instructions and internal guidance notes.
Contribute to the development and delivery of trainings for relevant programme staff.
Develop data reports and data output functionality for MiMOSA and IMAP to meet the requirements of internal and external stakeholders, ensure the inclusion of migrant assistance data in visual analytic applications.
Contribute to the development of ad hoc data collection solutions to support the Regional and Country Offices.
Contribute to quality control and standardisation efforts for data generatedby and shared from MPX to ensure validity and reliability over time.
Provide technical inputs and information for the development of partnershipswith private sector entities to support MPX’s information management strategy.
Contribute to the development of regular information and knowledge products on migrant assistance, including inputs for research publications and assisting with the development of partnerships with academic and research institutions.
Recommend and implement technical solutions related to data collection, analysis, and visualization of migrant assistance data, in line with best practices on data security and data protection, particularly through partnerships with the private sector, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.
Undertake travel duties as required.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
Experience in the use of SalesForce is desirable.

Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
