The VMware and Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise‑grade virtualization and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on VMware technologies, hybrid/multi‑cloud environments (Azure, AWS, VMware Cloud), and modern automation platforms to support digital transformation, operational efficiency, and secure, scalable IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement VMware-based virtualization solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX).
• Architect hybrid and multi‑cloud environments across Azure, AWS, and VMware Cloud.
• Develop high-level and low-level architecture designs for cloud and virtualization initiatives.
• Maintain strong organizational discipline in documentation, task planning, and delivery timelines.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize VMware infrastructure and cloud services.
• Lead workload migrations from on‑premises to cloud or between cloud platforms.
• Ensure seamless integration with storage, networking, and security components.
• Manage relationships with architecture teams, application owners, business stakeholders, and customer representatives.
• Monitor performance and optimize virtualized and cloud environments.
• Implement security best practices across VMware and cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Use automation tools such as vRealize Suite, Terraform, and Ansible for provisioning and operations.
• Recommend architectural enhancements to improve cost efficiency and operational performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in virtualization and cloud architecture roles.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and/or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).
• AWS or Azure Architect certifications (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of cloud orchestration and automation platforms.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtual appliance management, including HA/DR configurations.
• Deep knowledge of VMware technologies: vSphere, SRM, Replication, Usage Meter, vSAN, NSX‑T.
• Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, backup technologies, clustering, and encryption solutions.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and VMware Cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with automation tools: vRealize, Terraform, Ansible.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security in virtualized environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Effective project leadership and collaboration skills.
