Vita Program Assistant (Perkins Grant/FWS), SC1VITAPAACCT (FA26)

Student Worker Eligibility:

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.

Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.

If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with organizational and administrative tasks related to the Accounting 2200 Income Tax Preparation VITA program. This student would take a leadership role at the tax preparation site in handling clients, workflow, and assisting with compilation of registration information and survey data.

Responsible for written communication including social media.

Data analysis of VITA site information.

Organization of scheduling, registration and client.

Site support and administrative functions.

Work collaboratively with accounting faculty, clients and students enrolled in the course.

Qualifications:

• Education
• THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
• If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
• If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
• Experience
• Good communications skill requireds; verbal, as well as written required.
• Social media proficiency preferred: the ability to post on Facebook and Twitter preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications
• COD Training
• Compliance Training

Working Conditions:

Physical work required.

May be required to lift or move up to 25 lbs.

This student position requires the following test/tests: Background Check.

Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
