POSITION TITLE: Visual Merchandising

ABOUT THE ROLE

Through the aesthetic presentation of windows, mannequins and walls within the Boutique, the Local Fashion Visual

Merchandising team are the interface between the artistic direction of the House and the sales teams. Translating the inspiration of each season, the style and image of CHANEL via visual displays, the Local Fashion Visual Merchandising team must also ensure displays respect local market sensibilities while being reactive to stock availability. Bringing the energy of the fashion shows to life via static displays in the Boutique, the Local Fashion Visual Merchandising teams ensure the House’s visual codes are clearly relayed and consistent, while creating a memorable journey for each client.

Expressing the artistic direction of CHANEL in-store to create a unique and memorable client journey via the Boutique’s displays and windows

  • Being co-responsible for ensuring clients are welcomed into a desirable environment in line with arrangement, Visual Merchandising (VM) and inventory procedures
  • Knowing and applying the VM guidelines and Boutique procedures
  • Being responsible for the image in the Boutique and the good condition of the windows (display, cleanliness, lighting)
  • Contributing daily to the maintenance and restocking of the displays
  • Being responsible for labelling and price displays
  • Making the sales teams aware of the proper display arrangements
  • Being responsible for the quality of the tools used to promote the House’s products on display and monitoring the stock of VM tools, inventory and communicating needs to the manager
  • Showing respect in handling the products, ensuring their integrity
  • Collaborating with all of the Boutique teams to ensure all métiers work together to constantly elevate the client experience

Being an ambassador of CHANEL’s style, serving as an interface between the House’s artistic direction and the needs of the sales team to inspire the clientele

  • Feeding our clients' dreams and desire for CHANEL, by enhancing the presentation of the collections, embracing a solid knowledge of the Brand, its heritage, its modernity and its know-how
  • Using and developing a wide knowledge of luxury goods and fashion trends to feed creativity and generate ideas
  • Participating in events outside the Boutique on an ad hoc basis
  • Being responsible for photo display reporting in accordance with deadlines

Enhancing business growth by showcasing the CHANEL dream and ensuring displays best reflect available stock:

  • As a business partner, supporting the managers’ teams to achieve sales targets, thanks to the displays and windows
  • Leveraging the stock to develop the VM contribution to the commercial performance of the Boutique
  • Actively participating in the morning brief and contributing ideas and proposals
  • Sharing upstream with the managers the proposals for the implementation of collections
  • Taking into account feedback from clients to the Fashion Advisors on the collections, and using the insights to maximise the appeal of displays to local clients
  • Ensuring weekly product rotations in the Boutiques
  • Working closely with the stock teams to ensure good management and organisation of the stock
  • Embracing a learning journey with a blended approach, using digital, in-person and individual resources, driven by personal curiosity, to develop the ultimate level of expertise and embody the Chanel client relational promise

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have at least 3 years of documented related experience
  • You are a self-driven, positive and independent person
  • You are trustworthy with a high degree of integrity and ethics
  • You are creative and innovative
  • Experience in basic computer software and digital photography
  • You are detailed oriented and you have excellent organizational skills
  • You have a passion for client experience, luxury and beauty
  • Able to move heavy items
  • Fluent Spanish and Advanced English proficiency are required. Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
