Job Description
The Officer/Executive Visual Merchandiser is responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing furniture displays that enhance the customer experience, drive sales, and align with the brand’s identity. This role bridges creativity with strategy by analyzing sales trends, creating 3D layouts, managing showroom aesthetics, and collaborating with sales, product, and marketing teams to optimize in-store presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and display furniture and accessories in a visually appealing manner to enhance the customer experience and align with the brand’s aesthetic.
- Collaborate with the sales team to analyze sales trends and adjust in-store displays to highlight high-demand products and drive sales.
- Create 3D layouts and visual merchandising plans using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or AutoCAD) and develop interior drawings for new product shoots.
- Integrate soft furnishings such as cushions, rugs, and curtains into displays to create cohesive and inviting setups.
- Develop mood boards for all furniture categories to guide seasonal displays, showroom layouts, promotional themes and update showroom interiors.
- Be present at in-house furniture photoshoots as per the photoshoot schedule to provide art direction and ensure visual consistency across all marketing materials.
- Conduct market surveys to source and purchase accessories that complement furniture displays and enhance showroom appeal.
- Identify and report any administrative concerns (e.g., maintenance, cleanliness, or space utilization) that may impact the visual appeal of the showroom.
- Work closely with the sales, product, and marketing teams to align visual merchandising efforts with promotional activities, new product launches, and ongoing sales strategies.
- Develop and execute exhibition layouts and setups.
- Create a weekly schedule for display changes, sharing "before" and "after" implementation updates.
- Plan and execute the monthly movement of furniture to refresh showroom layouts and maintain customer interest.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, Architecture, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Interior Styling, Retail Design, Furniture Retail, or Home Décor.
