The Visual Communications Officer will be based at UNFPA Dhaka Country Office and will support the Communications Team in managing the digital communication portfolio, such as overseeing, writing and posting on social media, website and other digital platforms. The incumbent will also support the content development and production of overall visual communications products for the Country Office, including the sub-office in Cox’s Bazar. The Visual Communications Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Communication.

The Visual Communications Officer will be based at UNFPA Country Office in Dhaka and will support the Communications Team in managing its digital communication portfolio. This includes writing, social media and website management, and support in the content development and production of overall visual communications.
The Visual Communications Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Communication in close collaboration with communication team members at the country, regional and HQ levels, as well as programme teams to ensure consistent and high quality communication products on sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender, adolescent and youth, humanitarian response and population and development.
The Officer will also assist in designing and finalising other advocacy and communication products such as fact sheets, reports, explainers, etc. S/he will contribute to event planning and donor communications. The Visual Communications Officer is expected to travel to the UNFPA supported districts as necessary.
Minimum completion of secondary education is required. A bachelor’s degree in Development Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is desirable.
Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Working knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
