Hiring Salary Range: $24.71 - $34.62
Compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications. The actual offer may vary, reflecting the candidate's unique blend of experience, educational background, and skill level
PURPOSE: This role will provide visual communication support including photography, videography and presentation visuals. Also, provide audiovisual support for Dairyland meeting and events.
Education & Experience: Minimum of two-year Associate Degree in audiovisual technology, visual communications, graphic design, digital medial, communications or a related field. Three (3) years of relevant experience with an Associate Degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficiency using a SLR digital camera Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro or comparable software. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. Knowledge of digital photography principles (formats, resolution, composition, etc.). Must also be proficient using digital video camera, and simple video editing software (Moviemaker or similar.) Must have knowledge of audiovisual equipment operation and maintenance. Must have excellent written/verbal communications and proofreading skills.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand/sit; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift and carry A-V equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Environmental Demands: Works primarily indoors. Photography and videography projects may require working in challenging conditions. Some outdoor work in all types of weather. Some exposure to electrical hazards and, in the plants, occasional exposure to dust.
Other Job Characteristics: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Requires technical proficiency in all aspects of audiovisual and video production and presentation. Must become familiar with the principles of electrical generation, transmission and distribution. May be necessary to work after normal business hours. Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Must be able to physically handle and set up audiovisual recording and projection equipment. Team oriented position having variable tasks, often at a fast pace. Must be able to work with only moderate supervision. Due to nature of role and work performed, position is expected to report in-office at our La Crosse, WI Administration Building and is not eligible for hybrid scheduling.
