The Visitor Center janitor team is responsible to keep the Visitor Center and adjacent outdoor areas clean, neat, and presentable.
• Takes pride and responsibility in presenting a clean environment
• Safely perform routine cleaning and sanitizing duties in a consistent repeatable fashion
• Perform routine maintenance and notify management of the need for repairs
• Self-motivated to complete job duties and other assigned tasks
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks
• Safe and proper use of the cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Follow written and verbal direction
• Be an effective part of a team
• Have 20 hours of availability per week
• Annual completion of OSHA required safety training.
• Annual completion of HCC Forklift and golf cart training
• Help coach and train teammates
• Place high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing HCC’s food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Report any safety issues, observations, opportunities to your supervisor and follow up.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work weekends
• Food Handler Certification (within 30 days of employment)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Prior cleaning or janitorial service experience
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments and work independently
• Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and is highly team oriented

Working surface is primarily concrete. Where standing is required, there are rubber mats which are one-half inch thick.
