TheClemson University College of Educationseekshighly qualified candidates to fill course instruction needs in the Department of Teaching and LearningThis part-time opportunity to teach one or more courses is available on an as-needed basis. Courses may be offered in spring, summer, and/or fall terms andbeoffered in one or more modalities ranging from in-person to asynchronous online. The start date varies according to departmental teaching needs. The areas of content expertise required by the department align withundergraduateprogram areas, whichinclude:Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Middle Level Education (Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science), Secondary Education (English, Mathematics, Social Studies/History, and Science), and Modern Languages Education (American Sign Language, French, and Spanish).Contentexpertiseneeds at the graduate level are aligned with program areas in our Master of Arts in Teaching Programs (Middle Level, Secondary, and Modern Languages) as well as our Master ofEducation Program in Teaching and Learning. In addition, for qualified applicants, instructional opportunitiesindoctoral levelcontent may be neededto includedissertation writing and support.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field
Doctoral (or terminal degree) in a related field (requiredto teach in graduate-level programs)
Expertisein content aligned with a departmental program area
A commitment to inclusive teaching, creating an inclusive learning and working environment, and working alongside persons with diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
Previoushigher education teaching experience
Experience teaching with modality in which course is offered
Practical experience in an applied field aligned with a departmental program area
