Job Description:
The University Writing Program at the University of Florida invites applications for five Visiting Lecturer positions to begin August 16, 2026. These are full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-accruing faculty appointments with the possibility of renewal for a maximum of three years.
The University Writing Program is a thriving, independent academic unit offering a wide range of writing-intensive courses in areas such as first-year composition, themed critical thinking and writing, discipline-focused writing, and professional writing. A significant goal of the University Writing Program is to cultivate effective visual and written communication in academic and professional contexts. The teaching assignment is 3/3.
The successful candidates will teach writing-intensive courses, support students in developing effective written, visual, and rhetorical communication, and contribute to the instructional mission of the University Writing Program. Applicants should have rhetorical expertise and teaching experience.
