Job Description

Centre College invites applications for a two-year visiting instructor or visiting assistant professor of German, to begin August 2025Candidates must be ABD or have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment The successful candidate will teach 18 credits per academic year and teach all levels of Germanas well as courses in our general education curriculum (first-year seminar). Native or near-native fluency in German and English is required Specialization is openCandidates with an interdisciplinary focus or background, such as STEM-infused German language and culture courses, would be of particular interest The candidate must be committed to excellent teaching in a liberal arts setting and contribute to the growth of our German program including attending German events. Evidence of research and scholarly productivity is desirable.
