Job Purpose

American International University (AIU) invites applications for qualified chemsitry faculty to join its visiting teaching pool. Visiting pool members may be contacted to teach introductory, general education, or selected major courses depending on departmental needs and individual qualifications. Visiting Faculty contribute to AIU’s mission by teaching undergraduate courses and mentoring students in a collaborative and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses within assigned disciplines
• Prepare and deliver engaging course materials aligned with curriculum standards
• Supervise laboratory instruction, with emphasis on lab safety, chemical handling, and waste management
• Collaborate with full-time faculty in curriculum development and program assessment
• Participate in periodic evaluations and contribute to continuous academic improvement

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
• University-level teaching experience in the discipline required
• Industry experience in the teaching field preferred
• Commitment to academic quality and professional integrity
