Priory Hayes Grove is looking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist for Eating Disorders to partner with their team. This is a n opportunity to work with Priory in a self-employed capacity, as such the role provides flexible sessional working arrangements.
The post holder will contribute to a comprehensive eating disorder service for adults, with inpatient, day care and outpatient support available. In addition, we provide outpatient treatment for young people as well as private CAMHS assessments options.
As well as operating as a mental health, addiction and eating disorder treatment hospital, Hayes Grove is also a formal teaching hospital. We are affiliated with a number of universities, including Canterbury Christ Church University, King’s College London and Goldsmith’s, University of London. Our status as a teaching hospital places us at the forefront of the latest research, meaning that our treatment programmes are informed by the very latest developments in the industry.

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. As a Consultant Psychiatrist for Eating Disorders, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat a diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient population.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, healthcare assistants and Dietician.
- Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
- Expand your practice in alignment with (site) prestigious reputation.
- Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
- Market yourself and your practice in conjunction with Priory, registering with private medical insurers and providing information for our website.
- Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:
- GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
- Experience in eating disorders including at least 2 years operating within in a substantive role with the NHS.
- A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Successful completion of a DBS check (funded by Priory).
