Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Management/Business Law

The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Management position, with a focus in the area of Business Law. This one-year 4/4 teaching appointment is suited for a dedicated educator committed to student engagement and active participation in a dynamic academic community. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, support student development, and contribute to the continued growth and excellence of the Management program.
Primary Responsibilities
• Teach a 4/4 course load (four courses per semester)
• Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas such as Business Law, Sports Law, and/or Management.
• Engage students through advising, mentoring, and academic support.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course revision, and continuous program improvement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, collaborative initiatives, and broader academic activities.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and progression to graduation.
Required Qualifications
• Doctorate in Management from an AACSB-accredited institution or a JD from an accredited school of law
• Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching.
• Relevant professional experience in a business or legal field.
• Evidence of the ability to contribute to high-quality research in the candidate’s discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience developing courses, revising curriculum, and effectively utilizing online and digital learning platforms.
• Background in academic program growth, including curriculum planning, faculty collaboration, and new course or program design.
• Strong commitment to student-centered education, including mentoring and advising graduate students.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience guiding students through admissions processes, academic planning, and progression toward degree completion.
