
Ursinus College invites applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Spanish beginning fall 2023. Responsibilities include teaching three courses each semester. These courses will include elementary or intermediate Spanish-language courses and, possibly, an upper-level literature and culture course in Spanish or a first-year seminar in English. All areas of specialization will be considered.
Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2023
Candidates are expected to have a native or near native proficiency in Spanish and hold a doctoral degree in Spanish or a closely related field. ABD candidates expected to defend soon will be considered. Previous experience teaching Spanish to undergraduate students is preferred.
Submit cover letter (including a discussion of your commitment to diversity and inclusion), curriculum vitae, teaching statement, and three letters of recommendation, including at least one specifically addressing language teaching at the elementary or intermediate level.
