Job Description

Franklin and Marshall invites applications for a one-year visiting position in the Department of Government beginning August 2026. Appointment is for nine months (August - May). The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor depending on qualifications. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate degree. The teaching load is 3/3. We are hiring a Public Law scholar who can also teach at least two political theory courses. The successful candidate will be asked to teach two sections of Constitutional Law, one or two other law-related courses (such as Civil Rights and Civil Liberties), and two courses that can meet the political theory requirement for Government majors
